Neutral Facilitator Membership Application
Membership in the Tampa Bay Academy of Collaborative Professionals (TBACP) is selective. Meeting all membership criteria does not guarantee an invitation to membership. The process is confidential, discretionary, and non-appealable.
All Applicants Must:
- Have participated in at least three collaborative cases as a team member, not an observer. The three cases may include pro-bono and modest means matters.
- Have successfully completed a minimum of 14 hours of live training (in person or virtual), Basic or Intermediate Interdisciplinary Collaborative Family Law Training Program.
- Undergo an interview with the membership committee.
- Be sponsored by two (2) TBACP members, preferably members with whom the applicant has had a collaborative, litigated, or mediated family law case. One of the sponsors must be a member of the applicant’s profession. Neither sponsor may share the applicant’s employer.
- Hold membership in the International Academy of Collaborative professionals.
- Complete the standardized membership application for their profession.
- Complete at least (1) 30-hour approved mediation course, unless exempted by committee due to substantial experience.
Facilitators/Mental Health Neutral Applicants Must:
- Hold an MHP license in the state of Florida in good standing.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards in both personal and professional conduct.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of practice experience working with family systems and divorce.
- Complete an approved parent coordination training course.
Meeting these criteria allows an applicant to be considered for membership. Admission is determined through a confidential and selective process conducted by the Membership Committee and Board of Directors.
